新年来咯~! (long entry wor..)

CNY eve (6/2)
Came back home around 4pm.. actually should be half day de.. but ended up meeting Joey for lunch den walk walk grocery shopping awhile.. hahaha.. So tired =_="

Gene & Cal picked mie up around 9+ and we headed to Jean's house to play MJ.. my first game in 2008!! hurhur.. but end up still lose $25.. BUT~ mie is 2nd last only.. :p Heh.. ended up at Indian stall along serangoon area.. But they seemed to be severely short-handed wor~ Quite an unsettling meal but.. oh well.. It's CNY!!

1st day (7/2)
As per tradition, all relatives from papa side comes my house for a visit. :) This year difference is that small uncle's family are out of town, so we no head over their place for this year... Which basically free mie for the rest of the evening wor~

Jase came over around 2pm for lunch.. hehe.. And he collect ang baos from my relatives loh the lucky guy~ He so cute.. he was at a lost when everyone gave him ang bao ... then he took out money and ask mie for red packet and who he needs to give back.. So funny lah~! *chuckle* We headed over to Rach's for visiting around 4pm.. Clara came at 430 then Jon and Botak also came.. Mister Aiden is such a super baby~! Chubbilicious~ And like i said.. I tot he was chuckling in glee loh..then Rach assure mie that he was actually in fact.. whining.. 0_0"

So the plans for the night was drinks @ Fang Jie~.. Botak's turn to visit my house and grab dinner.. Then we took a cab to Fang Jie.. at 7pm we were drinking!!! Hahahaha.. Laz and his friend joined later as well... most of us left around 12am while rach & jon still carried on..

Mie mie still went to Katong to bai nian and see pp play MJ till six am loh!! 0_0"

But is the first time Stella invite mie to her house mah.. and she'll be heading back to TW during the weekend le... The first thing i saw when i entered the (huge) house was this carpet looking dog~!

2nd day (8/2)
I is of course.. woke up late.. reached home 7+am leh!!!! =_="

i woke around 3+pm.. Hui best.. 11+am have to wake and drive his parennts around for CNY ler.. hahaha.. no choice bah i guess.. he be flying the next morning ler.. Hope he have a fulfiling trip~ =n.n=

Went to big aunty house (papa side) for dinner around 5+... hand around.. watch tv.. attacked the table full of CNY goodies.. go into room play with my naughty nephews.. had dinner.. then Finally! It's time for 'Lo Hei'!! It started at 9pm wor~ my aunts prep alot of veg sia~

Next stop was Jase place for Drinks, Tv, and gambling.. heh ... I was told to pack food so got some curry puffs and microwave food from petrol station before heading there.. Cooked for them and relaxed awhile before starting to join in the BlackJack game.. not bad~ win small small..We carried on at Royston's after Jase chased us out at 12 am.. the mister needs his sleep wor~ I won small small at royston's and end up sleeping at 3am that night .. =_="

3rd Day (9/2)
Today.. is visit 3rd aunt (mama side) day~ She also my 'Godma' wor~ hehe.. so far the biggest ang bao i received this yr.. but i oso packed ang bao for her and uncle lah... for them to buy things.. coz i seldom meet them.. :)

Suddenly.. I feel so old lor~! The hyper active talkative nieces of yester years.. now all sec 4 sec 3 already!! But as expected.. they inherited their mama's good genes.. both are pretty in their own way.. =n.n= Sigh.. every year i tell myself i should act my age.. but.. it hard~.. ;p

Went dinner with Jase & botak at Borsch in Serangoon Gardens. Surprisingly there were alot of restaurants open wor~! After stuffing ourselves, we flagged a cab to Nicholas' place in Balestier to nuah until our 950pm movie.. The boys so excited when they saw 'Meet the SPartans' trailer loh.. duh.. hahaha.. We watched "Ah long Pte Ltd".. It was pretty funny lah.. good entertainment for CNY.. hee.. And Jase understand it also~ good hor... =n.n=

It's CNY.. wat can i say?! We eh.. headed to royston's house again after movie.. hahahaha.. you know lah.. then i won small small go back sleep around 3+... :p

4th Day (10/2)
It's sunday~ Family movie day~! We went and caught CJ7 at Bishan.. So lucky that papa managed to get a lot at the small carpark behind Kim San Leng wor~ We caught a 9+ show.. so mama got to jalan jalan abit before heading to the cinema.. Last movie we watched together was 881 wor~!

Well, the movie has its peaks of laughter and tears.. some how maybe the movie is too short to develop much, and Stephen CHow's row is really pretty small only.. so you no get much humour punch from him as compared to previous movies.. But mama and papa seem to enjoyed it so all in all.. it was a good movie~ =n.n=

5th Day (11/2)
Back at work day~!
Havent been to gym for 2 weeks oredi i think *grimace* heh.. feel guilty wor~! So today i went for 'Power Yoga' during lunch.. sweat ar~

6th Day (12/2)
Company CNY lunch + lion dance day~
Company lunch was good as usual.. the cod fish was melt in the mouth loh!! i like this caterer wor~! Eat till very full.. heh.. Then I prep the stuff for the lion dance in the afternoon...My first time prepare wor~ The tray is from the 'Lo hei' at lunch.. pretty hor~!
The lion dance finally came at 3pm.. Maybe coz we were the last stop and the troupe was pretty much very young teenagers wor.. The lion wasnt very 'active'.. after the initial opening (short leh) performance, i asked them go around the office.. they literally walk loh~!¬_¬" But ok lah.. still for the occasion.. This is the word they formed from the mandarin oranges ("Fa" means prosperity in english)
And so in the spirit of things.. Mie went for 'Body Pump' session with julie around 6pm... First time outdoors at OUB wor.. I still prefer ORQ i think and Faye the instructor... The bar is different at ORQ lah but Julie insists they are all the same.. anyways.. did alot of things wrong so was abit disgruntled wif mieself.. =_=" I went home happily whole body aching loh~!

7th Day (13/2)
Today went office late again.. *oops* Hurhur... went with clara to 'massage for lunch' at Tulip in serangoon road.. We brought mandarin oranges to 'Bai Nian' with the 2 uncles wor~ then proceeded with our 40 min foot massage~ At the end we still received ang bao wor~! The uncles are so nice~ =n.n=

Time to make cookies~!
Left office on time today.. and skipped GYm loh~! Hurhur.. coz.. it's Vday tomorrow! I've meant to make cookies for a long time, and it seems like vday is a good time as any to make cookies.. hee.. AFter work I went City Plaza @ Paya Lebar area to stock up some ingredients.. Next stop was Home + dinner~

I started at around 9pm.. The dough prep was pretty fast and simple, but I made 2 dough you see, one butter and one chocolate.. By the time i finish was around 11, coz have to chill the dough abit.. After that i cracked my head awhile to get the chocolate dough to work.. I added more flour but doesnt seem to help wor.. It was too soft and gooey to be manageable by hand or make into shape.. *sulk* so i kept it back into the fridge and carried on with my butter cookies~ .. .. until 4am loh! *panda eyes*

8th Day (14/2)
It's Valentines' Day!

First person i offered the cookies to was Julie.. heh.. first thing she said was "So sweet!" Then i hurriedly reassured her the cookies aint that sweet, whereby she corrected mie and said she meant the heart shape of it was very sweet~..keke.. I offered everyone around my area a cookie.. everyone said it was nice~! I'm beginning to think you really cant go wrong with a recipe in hand de.. ;)

Next agenda of the day was to head to Changi airport to meet June for dinner.. Then Send Joey off.. The day has finally come.. Joey's heading to Australia on this day ler...

Mie & June walked around T3.. nothing much.. then settled at this fast food called 'Popeyes' that serves fried chicken with cajun fries~! Mebbe the food was quite oily.. we both agree this will be a one time thingy :p We read at some seats for about an hour.. then Joey finally arrived around 9+pm.. Her sister was tearing already loh.. I think Joey wanted to cry also.. but she was brave to hold it in bah.. :) She checked in with Feng around 1030pm.. It's the last time we ewaved goodbye.. Until 3 months at least bah.. 9th Day (15/2)
Yesterday no go gym.. so today must go loh~!

There's stuff to prepare for next monday's monthly meeting.. so I end up going to gym only at 6:15pm.. worked out on the cycling and walking machine.. headed back to office around 730pm..

Met Alexis at Circular road then we walked together to 'Pump Room' @ Clark Quay.. Long time no catch up with her ler.. so nice of her to treat mie for my birthday.. hee.. Sweet! And she intro Pump Room is really pretty good~ no wonder everytime when we pass by there is always such a long queue! Lucky we went early during dinner time.. so it was a guranteed seat of sorts.. keke.. The band 'Jive Talking' is pretty good..~! 3 vocalists.. and then some~! The music was full of life, energy.. happy~! hurhur... went home around 11:45pm.. coz mie very tired ler...

10th Day (16/2)
Woke up at 11+am ... nuahz nuahz... Play 'Scramble' on FaceBook (my new fav game~!!) then ermm.. around 3 started to prep to make cookie from the chocolate dough from 2 days ago :p

It was quite err... chilled till abit solidify ler.. so i melted some more choc and sugar and butter then added in.. In the end the dough was still rather unmanageable - put on palm to roll it will melt and stick loh~ - So i ended up aga aga place the portion on the baking sheet then put in the toaster oven for 4 min... I will place a small piece of After Eight mint choc on each cookie to give it the mild flavouring~

Mmm... the turn out definitely not as pretty as the heart shape wan.. Some are crispy and some are soft.. keke.. depends on how long they were baked - longer crispier - But.. overall verdict was a 'Good' from everyone when i brought to Clara's house in the evening.. hurhur.. I is happy =n.n=

11th Day (17/2)
Today I slept at 5+ am (plus 1 or 2 hours coz of coughing.. urgh!) Hurhur.. Last night play poker and Black Jack at Jlara and Joyston house... luck no so good dez~! Esp at Jlara's... =_="

Last night after serangoon gardens went to JOyston place first thing is cook for them... Like that day at Jase's lydat.. ¬_¬" Haha... but he and nick and clara really like the Palek Paneer (spinach gravy with goat cheese) gravy~ the naan was finished up so it's good business still.. =D

Later evening going shopping... hurhur.. money out again.. ¬_¬" B.U.T~ let's hope for thursday's 10million TOTO~! Muahahahaha~... =n.n=
